Prohibited the export of all goods intended for use by the Russian military and security forces, including any armed force, paramilitary force, police force, or militia. The prohibition on exports applies to all goods if the end-user of the goods are the Russian military or security forces — including exports such as food and medical supplies. Export ban on certain goods that contribute to strengthening Russia's industrial base, including wood and wood products, steel storage tanks and other similar containers, machinery and electrical equipment components, trains, bulldozers and trucks, measuring equipment. The ban will enter into force on 17 June 2022. Products that are subject to the aforementioned export ban, including related technologies, are as follows (with HS codes): 1. Japan enacted a law on April 20, 2022 formally revoking Russia’s “most-favoured nation” trade status. The revocation of the trade status applies to tariffs on most imports from Russia (including inter alia animals, foods processed by animals or plants, mineral products, chemical products, plastic products, rubber products, leather products, metals, spinning fibre and products thereof) and allows Japan impose higher duties on such products until 31 March 2023.
