Finland reduces the number of visas issued to Russians by 10 times The Nordic country will accept documents and visa applications from citizens of the Russian Federation once a week and only in four Russian cities. In Finland, on September 1, an initiative of the authorities came into force, designed to reduce the number of Schengen visas issued to Russians by 10 times, Interfax reports with reference to the Associated Press. Under the new rules, Finland will only accept documents and tourist visa applications from Russians once a week and only in four Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk and Petrozavodsk.

Nord Pool (a pan-European power exchange) decided to stop trading Russian electricity from its only importer in the Baltic States Inter RAO. It means that as of 22 May, Lithuania completely cut import of Russian energy supplies, i.e. oil, electricity or natural gas.

The Seimas of Lithuania officially banned by law the import of Russian natural gas, transit to the Kaliningrad region. The Seimas adopted the relevant amendments to the Law on Natural Gas. According to them, only suppliers from countries that do not pose a threat to national security will be able to use the gas transmission system of the country and the LNG terminal of Klaipėdos Nafta, except for suppliers transporting gas in transit to Kaliningrad.

Nord Pool decided to stop trading Russian electricity from its only importer in the Baltic States Inter RAO. It means that as 20.05.22, Lithuania has completely cut import of Russian energy supplies, i.e. oil, electricity or natural gas. Previously (end of March - mid April) Orlen Lietuva, the only oil importer in Lithuania, refused to import Russian crude oil, as reported by Lithuanian MFA.
