The Federal Council decided to temporarily suspend the exchange of tax information with Russia, based on the public policy proviso of the Administrative Assistance Convention in tax matters. The temporary suspension affects all forms of tax information exchange vis-à-vis Russia, i.e., automatic exchange of information on financial accounts and on country-by-country reports, exchange of information upon request and spontaneous exchange of information.

Norway’s $1.3 trillion sovereign wealth fund removed Russia from its benchmark index from March 7 and will sell all of its investments in the country over time once it’s able to do so. Norwegian government has decided that Norway‘s sovereign wealth fund (the worlds largest fund) will freeze its investments in Russia and intend to fully divest its Russia holding.
